RUSSOTTI GESTIONI HOTELS S.p.A. is a company leader in hotel management and in the field of public and private building, which is F.lli Russotti’s core business. The parent company was set up in Messina immediately after the devastatig earthquake in 1908, and its name is linked to one of the most significant works in those decades.
F.lli Russotti was again one of the protagonists of the rebirth of Messina on the occasion of the second reconstruction of the City, after world war bombings, always standing out for using the most advanced technologies, for the quality of its projecting teams, standards and environmental compatibility of the materials used and the efficiency in business management.
In 1988, F.lli Russotti gives life to Rusottfinance S.p.A., a strong and influential subject, possessing know-how and organizational, financial and human resources to deal with the entire hotel industry.
Many interventions of industrial engineering were started, among which laying acid and oily networks on the floor and two seawater inlets 60 metres under the ground to cool down the towers of ANIC Refinery in Gela; water system management like the section between Villa San Giovanni and Gioia Tauro of the aqueduct of South of Italy.
From port works to military and commercial ones: in Messina F.lli Russotti has transformed the fishing port and the fish market in docks to allow mooring of large vessels; it carried out works in the highway to complete four parcels of the Highway Palermo/Trapani – Mazzara del Vallo, a difficult junction in Enna and two parcels of the Highway Messina/Catania.
Among the different works in those years, there is the renovation of the ancient Vittorio Emanuele Theatre, with innovative solutions allowing to save perimeter walls dating back to the end of the XVIIIth century, thanks to new foundations in water deeper than two metres
Among the most important works carried out in the second half of last century in Messina we should not leave out the water treatment station in Mili Marina and important building works, among which public residential building in S. Filippo (more than 340 houses)
Among the works carried out by F.lli Russotti for the rebirth of the city of Messina after the devastating earthquake in 1908 there are the Hospital Regina Margherita – first building in reinforced concrete in Sicily – and Santa Marta Tunnel, meant to connect two of the most important road networks.
Oggi la Russottfinance è proprietaria di grandi alberghi, tutti da essa stessa costruiti e gestiti con l’insegna di grandi marchi internazionali: l’Hotel di Giardini Naxos, con 296 camere che si affacciano sulla spiaggia e sul mare della Baia di Taormina; il Rome Marriott Park Hotel di Roma, con 601camere, immerso in un rigoglioso parco mediterraneo di 7,5 ettari tra il centro città; l’aeroporto di Fiumicino e la nuova zona fieristica; il Milan Marriott Hotel tra il centro e la Fiera di Milano, con 321 camere, tutti hotel di 4 stelle lusso; e inoltre il Russott Hotel di Venezia S. Giuliano, situato tra il centro storico e l’aeroporto, un 4 stelle con 181 stanze e dell’Holiday Club di Giardini Naxos, Villaggio Turistico a 4 stelle vicino al mare e all’Hilton di Giardini, con 254 Apparthotel.
L’albergo di Venezia e l’Holiday Club di Giardini sono in atto interessati alla definizione progettuale di interventi di ammodernamento e riqualificazione; inoltre il Russott Hotel di Venezia sarà oggetto di ampliamento che consentirà la realizzazione di altre 184 camere, portando a 365 stanze la ricettività del complesso che la Russottfinance continuerà a gestire, con le insegne Marriott e la classificazione 4 stelle superiore.
La RUSSOTTI GESTIONI HOTELS S.p.A., inoltre, a Siracusa – nell’Isola di Ortigia – ha riqualificato e convertito in edificio alberghiero di 80 camere dell’ex Palazzo delle Poste e Telegrafi, dando vita all’Ortea Palace Luxury Hotel.
